Ventnor is a small town on south-east side of the island. It is situated on the side of the highest point on the island.
The seafront is reached by going down the "zig-zag" road, which has a waterfall flowing underneath it. On the seafront, there is a paddling pool in the shape of the island.
The town has benefited from regenetation, with the creation of a harbour and a bandstand.
Further up from the town is the Undercliff, a strengh of land that which was created in a landslip. This has resulted in the area being affected by landslides.
The Undercliff is home to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens. An area where tropical plants can grow.
